Day Trip to Charlotte

Last month, Whit and I made a day trip to Charlotte. We were able to catch up with Gary, Mandy, Macy, and Makayla as well as some friends of ours Bailey and Brian! We met for dinner at a Cajun restaurant called Razoo's. It made for a late night but it was certainly worth it. I can't believe how fast the girls are growing up! I can't wait until this summer when I will have time to catch up with Gary, Mandy, Macy, and Makayla as well as spend some quality time with Bailey and Brian. We have seen each other in little bits but with Bailey's work schedule and my summers off we will be able to spend some time together hanging out and catching up on life! I can't wait!

Weekend in Shreveport

Whit and I spent last weekend in Shreveport, LA for my cousin Nick's wedding. Nick and Meghan have been together for 5 years and finally decided to tie the knot. The wedding was beautiful and went off without a hitch!

My family always teases that we have so many weddings, baby showers, etc. that there is no need for any family reunions because we have them so often at these random events. We are dwendling down on the number of neices, nephews, etc that are left to marry. We are not sure what we will do once these events are over with but I am sure that we will find time to get together whether it is in Destin, Atlanta or St. Louis. Wherever it is, we will all make the time to spend it with family!

Shreveport as an interesting little city. We stayed at the Boardwalk area that was right on the river. It was a beautiful, new place that has lots of shops restraunts within walking distance. There was also a casino right next door!!!!! I felt like I was in Vegas for a minute! I sure lost my fair share at black jack and in the slot machines and ... just kidding. I stopped there! I knew better!

All in all, we had a wonderful time. We got to spend time with my aunts, uncles and cousins that live in St. Louis. I love seeing pictures of my mom and her siblings, it makes me so thankful to have such a wonderful family.
